As you already know, we are learning a lot about castles this year. Thats's why we've chosen crowns and kings to decorate the windows and the school Christmas tree.
In the English class we also crafted crowns as ornaments for our own Christmas tree. Primary 2 is preparing the song "When Santa got stuck up the chimney" and we made a Santa and a chimney to decorate our classroom door.

No interior dos lapbooks os nenos e nenas engadiron distintos elementos. Por un lado, crearon tarxetas cos números do 1 o 20 e un acordeón coas palabras novas que aprenderon o longo desta unidades. ST. PATRICK'S DAY 2015
In Irish mythology, a leprechaun is a type of male faerie said to inhabit the island of Ireland. According to legend if a human catches a leprechaun that leprechaun must grant that human three wishes in exchange for his freedom. Leprechauns are said to be very rich and some stories say they hide their gold coins in a pot at the end of the rainbow.
After telling the students about the legend of the Leprechaun and singing a song, Primary 1 students started crafting their own pots of gold. Do you like them?

PINWHEELS FOR PEACE 2015
“Pinwheels for Peace” is an art installation project started in 2005 by two Art teachers, Ann Ayers and Ellen McMillan, who teach at Monarch High School in Coconut Creek, Florida, as a way for their students to express their feelings about peace, tolerance, cooperation, unity, harmony,... The first “Pinwheels for Peace” were installed on Sept. 21, 2005.
This year our school has decided to create Pinwheels to celebrate Peace Day on January 30th. Students crafted pinwheels on which they wrote, drew and decorated peace words and signs. The result was great.
